The outbreak of the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone has caused adverse effect inNewsto the socio-economic living of every community in the country. Communities are not only placed under constant fear of contracting the virus, but lack the financial means to acquire what it takes to prevent the disease in their localities. KaCDeF as a community-based organization is therefore mobilizing resources from its membership, friends, indigenes in the Diaspora, and good will wishers to support the Chiefdom Ebola Task Force currently working tirelessly, to prevent the virus from entering the chiefdom and the district at large. Koinadugu district remain the only district in Sierra Leone that is Ebola free for now. This is as a result of proactive measures taken by the Koinadugu district Task-Force and Chiefdom Task-Force in sensitizing and controlling the movement of people in and out of the district. Kasonko chiefdom is the main entrance into the district and therefore KaCDeF’s Coordinator together with his Working Committee is collaborating with the Chiefdom Task-Force in intensifying the measures that are being put in place.  Report from the Task-Force indicates that the supply of fuel, sanitizing and advocacy materials are required. We are therefore requesting your personal contribution or donations through KaCDeF to help in preventing the virus from our chiefdom and the district. Every contribution will be published and announced to our people to ensure transparent and accountability in the use of accumulated Funds.

HOW TO DONATE

1.    If you are in any part of Sierra Leone, you can deposit your contribution to KaCDeF Account at the  UNION Trust Bank with Acc.#: 210-996224                                                      and notify the contact persons below via text, call or KaCDeF e-mail.

2.    If you are in Freetown, Come with your contribution to our meeting on every last Sunday of the month  at 3 Mends Street, Off Circular Road. Time: 5:00PM Prompt.
